Who are we?
The North Okanagan Model Railroaders Association (NOMRA) was established in 1976 by a group of local model railroaders interested in forming a club working out of a member’s garage. Then in 1980 a permanent location was found on the second floor of the Greenhow Building at the Historic O’Keefe Ranch. The club has been located there ever since housing railroad displays in various scales, artifacts, operating model railroad and a meeting room. The Historic O’Keefe Ranch is a tourist attraction owned and operated by the City of Vernon with funding from the Okanagan Regional District. Our Club partners with O’Keefe Ranch by updating and maintaining the historical operating display. The Club’s layout illustrates various significant scenes in miniature from our surrounding area. Members meet the first week of every month for a business information meeting. The second week of every month the club runs a formal operating session in a prototypical manner. All members are welcome to bring their own trains to run on the club layout, work on various projects, or just to socialize.
While general running sessions are encouraged on Wednesdays; regular monthly formal operating sessions are held, generally, on the second Saturday afternoon each month. Club members gather to operate the club layout in a prototypical manner.

NOMRA Mission Statement
